Hammersmith and Fulham Volunteer Centre is delighted to be chosen to deliver the Community Champions project, in the Bayonne and Field Road estates in Fulham, over the next five years.

The programme aims to reduce health inequalities, promote healthy living/well-being by building on skills, experience and knowledge within local communities.

The project will invest in people, giving them tools and resources to identify local issues and problems and come up with solutions of their own. These Community Champions are neighbourhood residents who volunteer their time to connect local people with local healthcare services, who are in tune with their needs, aspirations and issues of their community. The project involves a wide range of resident-driven elements ranging from fitness classes, cookery events, well-being activities, training and more.

If you live in these neighbourhoods and would like to get involved in transforming your local community by volunteering as a Community Champion, we would love to hear from you.
