Volunteers’ Week 1-7 June
Volunteers’ week is normally a time to celebrate all forms of volunteering. In these unprecedented times we are using the week to thank the volunteers that have supported their communities during the Covid-19 situation. Many volunteers have helped in hospitals, collected food and other essentials as well as medicines to be delivered to isolating residents. Others have phoned, emailed or video called vulnerable people to ensure they had access to the support they needed and also some contact with the outside world. Informal volunteers have just looked out for their neighbours by dropping a letter through their door asking if they needed help. Others have continued volunteering and supporting the many services that operate all year round that continue to operate despite these challenging times.
We would like to take this week to say a big thank you to you all!
If you want to highlight the work you are doing as an organisation during this period, or commend any particular volunteer or team that has supported you or your organisation, please send us details. This can include photos or videos provided permissions have been sought.
