Hammersmith & Fulham Big Christmas Day Lunch 2018
HFVC took responsibility for supplying the needed volunteers to provide essential help on Christmas Day for over 320 isolated older local residents at the Hammersmith & Fulham Big Christmas Lunch.
Without the support of volunteers this great event would not be able to take place. HFVC recruited and briefed 87 volunteers to act as befrienders, escorts and food servers. This involved carrying out risk assessments, advertising the role, then taking references and providing relevant training. In addition, we also advertised the event to prospective attendees and possible donors.
